Between Night and Day
I awaken in the space between late and early. It is not yet daybreak and the birds are quiet. I listen awhile, as the first shrill call breaks the silence. Within moments a polyphony of voices cascade between crescendo and diminuendo. Feathers flutter, wings flap and the day begins.
I ready myself and take a walk.
This is my first of a regular series of diary posts.
