I would describe myself as a self-taught artist who uses writing, photography, storytelling and poetry as organic tools to explore the natural environment and our place within it. More recently, I began painting and exploring other art forms for the first time.

When a painting or other piece of work turns out as I'd hoped it's wonderful; if it doesn't it takes me on an explorative problem solving journey to another creation. I sometimes arrive at a better place, an altered viewpoint. So to me, it's not about getting it wrong, but changing perspective and learning more about myself in the process.

This page features some of my artwork that has often been inspired by the environment in its different forms. Scroll through the gallery to see more. There are also two poems which relate to the artwork, especially in terms of the ways in which creativity connects to finding inner peace and calm.
